Since 2024, Community Education for Peer Educators - COPE has been implementing South Sudan HIV/AIDS Reversal project SSHARP, with funding from CMMB. COPE has saved over 3,000 lives across the UNAIDS global target.
Inoder to achieve the 95/95/95 target, COPE undertake the following activities;
Conducting Community HIV mobile targeting Testing on daily basis in five counties of Western Equatoria State. The catchment health facilities include; Ibba PHCC, Maridi Hospital, Mundri PHCC, Lui Hospitat, Yeri PHCC and Mvolo Hospital.
Index testing for biological children and sexual partners
Distrubution of HIV self test kits to the targeted population
In order to acheive this COPE has to undertake the following activitis;
Community Drug refill
Tracing Missed Appoitement and Interruption In treatment Clients back to care
Provinding clients with Health Education
Proding health Services tartering Children, Adolescent and Young including Pregnant and breatfeeding women.
Activities;
Collecting community viral load sample collection
Providing enhanced viral load counselling to high viral load clients
Collecting EID samples for testing
providing care and treatment to pregnant and breast feeding women.
COPE provides community health services in Western Equatoria State in the following counties; Ibba, Mafridi, Mundri West, Mundri East and Mvolo. The catchment health faciltities include: Ibba PHCC, Maridi Hospital, Mundri PHCC, MLui Hospital, Yeri PHCC and Mvolo COunty at Mvolo Hospital.
